The Cancéropôle Île-de-France, a public interest grouping, located at Hôpital Saint-Louis 1 avenue Claude Vellefaux 75010 Paris, hereby wishes to inform you about the way in which it processes personal data in the context of the application of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and the amended Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978.

What is personal data?

The data collected by the Cancéropôle IDF are neither rented nor sold. The data collected by the Cancéropôle is not used for commercial purposes.

Processing relating to the management of newsletters

  • Why and on what legal basis are your personal data processed?

The purpose of the processing is to manage newsletters. It allows the Cancéropôle Île-de-France to:

  • The management of registrations to newsletters,
  • Personalization of newsletters,
  • Management of the sending of newsletters,
  • Statistical analysis of the consultation of newsletters.

This processing is necessary to pursue the legitimate interest of Cancéropôle Île-de-France to inform researchers about current calls for projects, training courses and seminars. It is also necessary for the pursuit of its legitimate interest to improve the content of its newsletters.

  • Who has access to your personal data?

Only the following have access to all or part of the data, within the limits of their respective attributions

  • the Cancéropôle Ile-de-France’s internal collaborators and bodies in charge of managing the newsletters,
  • the service providers of the Cancéropôle Ile-de-France in charge of the technical management of the Site,
  • the Cancéropôle Ile-de-France service providers in charge of the technical management of the newsletters.
  • How long is your personal data kept?

Your personal data is kept as long as you have not unsubscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking on the link integrated to this effect in the newsletters.

Processing related to the management of calls for projects

  • Why and on what legal basis are your personal data processed?

The purpose of the processing is to manage calls for projects. It allows the Cancéropôle Île-de-France to:

  • the follow-up and processing of responses to calls for projects,
  • the evaluation of projects and activity reports,
  • the production of statistics on responses to calls for proposals and their results.

This processing is necessary for the pursuit of the legitimate interest of Cancéropôle Île-de-France to achieve the purpose of the grouping, namely the financing of research projects, research grants or equipment. It is also necessary for the pursuit of its legitimate interest to improve the management of calls for projects.

  • Who has access to your personal data?

Only the following have access to all or part of the data, within the limits of their respective responsibilities

  • the Cancéropôle Ile-de-France’s internal collaborators and bodies in charge of managing and financing calls for projects,
  • the funders of the Cancéropôle Ile-de-France (National Cancer Institute (INCa), member institutions, partners, etc.),
  • the Cancéropôle Ile-de-France service providers in charge of the technical management of the site.
  • How long will your personal data be kept?

Data relating to selected projects are kept for a period of 10 years in view of the Cancéropôle Ile-de-France’s corporate purpose. Data relating to unsuccessful projects are kept for a period of 5 years from the date of submission of the application in response to the call for projects.
In order to meet legal obligations or as evidence, certain personal data may be kept for the applicable legal limitation periods, for example

  • 10 years for accounting and budgetary documents;
  • the entire duration of the dispute and until all avenues of appeal have been exhausted in the event of a dispute.

Processing relating to the management of training and seminars

The purpose of the processing is to manage training courses and seminars. It allows Cancéropôle Île-de-France to:

  • to manage registration for training courses and seminars,
  • the management and logistical organization of training courses and seminars,
  • the production of statistics on participation in training courses and seminars, particularly in the case of surveys.

This processing is necessary for the pursuit of the legitimate interest of the Cancéropôle Île-de-France to achieve the purpose of the grouping, i.e. the animation of the Ile-de-France cancer research network through the organization of training courses and seminars. It is also necessary for the pursuit of its legitimate interest to improve the management of training courses and seminars.

  • Who has access to your personal data?

Only the following have access to all or part of the data, within the limits of their respective attributions

  • the Cancéropôle Ile-de-France’s internal staff and bodies in charge of managing training courses and seminars,
  • the Cancéropôle Ile-de-France’s service providers in charge of the logistical organization of training courses and seminars,
  • the Cancéropôle Ile-de-France service providers in charge of communication (particularly for the production of badges),
  • the Cancéropôle Île-de-France service providers in charge of the technical management of the site,
  • the training organizations providing services to the Cancéropôle Île-de-France,
  • the trainers.
  • How long is your personal data kept?

Personal data is kept for the duration of the training course or seminar. It is then kept for a period of 10 years after the training course or seminar has been completed, taking into account the Cancéropôle Ile-de-France’s corporate purpose.

Processing related to the management of directories

  • Why and on what legal basis are your personal data processed?

The purpose of the processing is to manage directories. It enables the Cancéropôle Île-de-France to create and update directories of research players in Île-de-France, available on our website.
This processing is implemented on the basis of your consent, which you may withdraw at any time and by any means by contacting the Cancéropôle Ile-de-France, its Data Protection Officer (info-cnil@canceropole-idf.fr).

  • Who has access to your personal data?

The following have access to all or part of the data, within the limits of their respective responsibilities

  • the Cancéropôle Ile-de-France’s internal staff and bodies in charge of managing the directories,
  • the Cancéropôle Ile-de-France’s service providers, responsible for the technical management of the site

As the directories are available on our website, visitors to the latter may also access your personal data.

  • How long is your personal data kept?

Personal data is kept for the duration of the existence of the Cancéropôle Ile-de-France, taking into account its corporate purpose.

What rights do people have regarding their personal data? How can they exercise them?

Under the conditions defined by the regulations applicable to data protection, any individual has the right to exercise the following rights:

  • Right of access: you can ask Cancéropôle Île-de-France for information on the processing of your personal data and for a copy of said data.

The Cancéropôle Île-de-France has a period of one month from receipt of the request to respond.
The Cancéropôle Île-de-France pays the greatest attention to your personal data.
